» Intelligent Multi-Zone Annunciator Alarm: AlarmLokator

The Wayscale AlarmLokator is an economical multi-purpose centralised alarm monitor designed for technical areas and complete buildings where conventional BMS alarm systems are not in use. The AlarmLokator is a fully electronic intelligent ‘alarm annunciator’ capable of monitoring up to 16 individual alarms and suitable for use in such diverse applications as hospitals, hotels, office or factory buildings. It could even be used as a ‘nurse call system’.

Buildings and technical areas such as computer rooms have numerous individual alarm systems which operate separately and which could alarm in partially or entirely unmanned areas, say, during night-time hours. The AlarmLokator interfaces with all alarm systems having no-volt contacts and provides one common display panel in the central security or gatehouse area. Alternatively, it can be fitted with an integral automatic telephone dialling System to ring home in the event of problems.

The AlarmLokator is an intelligent system provided with a real time clock displaying the time, day and date of each zone going into and out of alarm, and has a non volatile memory containing a 'history log' on up to 250 events. It is provided with audio-visual alarm display via an alarm sunder with a mute button, and indicator lights for system live, power fault, line fault and alarm detected. 

It is also provided with a 48 character LCD display providing customer defined alphanumeric information on all alarms such as : AIR-CONDITIONING FAILURE <AC9 Comp Room Floor5 >. It has no-volt relays for common alarm, common fault, new alarm and power fault. Battery backup is an option. It can also be provided with an optional on-board visual display of all alarms with an indicator lamp and label to identify each alarm, or to be able to see at a distance that an alarm has activated (as shown on the photo).
