» Alarm Annunciator Panels: type LHM1 and LHM8
The single zone LHM1 is a fully self-contained alarm unit
designed to be used either as a single source alarm panel or as
common repeat alarm unit for all Wayscale alarm systems.
The larger LHM 8 is designed to monitor up to eight alarm sources
and can be banked in an Alarm Centre cabinet to monitor 16 and 24
alarm sources. Notations for the alarms are individual and comprise
of a reverse screen printed label. Battery backup is optional on LHM
8, 16 and 24 Units but is not available as standard on the LHM1
Units. Either system can be accommodated in an optional metal
cabinet and can be provided with an integral Autodial Unit.
LHM1 utilises a 12V DC signal for linking to the remote alarm
source, whereas LHM 8/16/24 units utilise 24V DC. Alarm sources
would normally be a no-volt relay or switch and should be connected
to 'normally open' no-volt contacts. When the contacts close, the
light/s and horn on the LHM activate. The light remains on all the
time that the alarm source remains in alarm. The horn can be muted
by pressing the mute button. As each alarm way is independent, the
horn reactivates after any previous muting operation. All units are
fully self re-setting.
LHM1 units have two sets volt-free output alarm contacts (rated 240V
AC 3amp). The LHM8 has a common alarm relay with contacts (rated at
28VDC 1 amp). Should individual output alarm signals be required,
each alarm can be fitted with an optional output relay with volt
free contacts (rated 28 DC 1 amp) to repeat to a further LHM8 Unit.
The LHM8 can be used as an audio/visual data gathering module which
indicates individual alarms to a BMS System.
