» Aqua*Stop YS

The Aqua*STOP YS Shutoff Module is a domestic / light industrial anti-flooding shut-off device which can be installed at the point where the water supply enters the property boundary, or where the water supply enters the building, or within a building at a potential source of domestic water leaks (such as a washing machine, dishwasher, water purifier, vending machine, ice maker, etc). 

The Aqua*STOP module is unique in being fully hydro-mechanical, requiring no battery or mains electrical power, and instead has a water turbine which is activated by water flowing through it to achieve monitoring. This therefore means that the Aqua*STOP can also be used in farms and agricultural establishments, or other applications where the metering pit and/or the stopcock is fields away from any source of power. 

The Aqua*STOP Module operates on the principle of monitoring the difference in water pressures within the module. Under normal water usage the difference in pressure is small and a timing mechanism is activated. If the time the water is flowing exceeds the preset time (adjustable between 15 to 120 minutes), the water supply will be shut off. If the differential pressure increases rapidly, then the system considers this to be a burst, and shuts off the water supply immediately. 

After the repair of the leak, when the pressure in the water supply pipe builds up, and when the input and the output pressures are the same, the system will reset and open the water supply. This reset can be set to be automatic or manual. 

Aqua*STOP is suitable for Working Pressures between 0.5 and 6 bar, pressure tested to 21 bar, and for flow rates between 15 l/h to 2,800 l/h. The Aqua*STOP has 1.5” BSP connections and can be fitted to a range of pipe sizes (1/2", 3/4”, 1”, 1.25” and 1.5”) via suitably sized connectors to be provided by others.
