Water Detection module: Flood-Trace
The Flood-Trace monitor is a new concept in water leak
detection specifically developed as an economical means of
providing linear monitoring of water leaks for
individual air conditioning units, fancoils, chillers, pumps, pabx,
or similar control equipment.
By utilising economical linear tape or cable sensors, the
Flood-Trace acts as a full water leak detection system using a genuine
sinusoidal 'alternating current' field-sensing signal. The module
clips to a DIN rail in the control section of an air
conditioning or fancoil unit and can operate from either a 240v AC
'mains' supply or from the a/c unit's 24v AC 'control' supply.
The module is provided with 'output alarm' change-over contacts to
link to the a/c unit's own alarm or to a BMS system, and it can also
be provided with a built-in sounder and/or LED indicator.
Alternatively, a number of Flood-Trace modules can be linked to a
building management system, and can monitor pipes, chilled
ceilings, drip trays, fancoils, ceiling units, a/c units,
chillers, tank/wc overflows, gutters, manholes, rain, etc. These
multiple Flood-Trace units can also be accommodated in a
stand-alone control housing.
The Flood-Trace is compatible with Wayscale sensor tape, sensor
cable and all Wayscale spot pad/probe sensors.
