» Temperature Display & Alarm Units: type OTP and OTHS

The OTP Electronic Temperature Alarm is a fully self-contained mains operated Single Zone Alarm Unit designed to monitor room ambient or surface temperatures in either degrees Centigrade or degrees Fahrenheit. The Control Unit is designed to be wall mounted adjacent to the source being monitored and to be linked to the Sensor Probe by a 3m Signal Cable.

The OTP Alarm is provided as standard with an adjustable overtemperature alarm setpoint but can optionally be provided with both a Maximum and a Minimum setpoint. It is provided with two sets of N/V output contacts rated 240V AC 3amp for Remote Alarm purposes. General battery backup is not provided as standard but the setpoint memory is supported by a rechargeable PCB battery. The system operates on the basis that when the alarm setpoint is reached the light on the OTP activates, and remains on while the Sensor continues to be in alarm. The horn also sounds and can be muted by pressing the Mute Button, and then automatically resets


The OTHS Temperature and Humidity Monitor comprises a four-channel control cabinet linked by signal cable to either two remote combined temperature/humidity sensors or four temperature only sensors. This provides either two areas of temperature and humidity alarm, or four areas of temperature alarm. The combined sensors are rated for temperature band 0°C to 40°C and humidity 0 - 100 % RH.

The OTHS system has a Low Limit setting and a High Limit setting for each of the four channels. The channel can be programmed to monitor either Temperature or Humidity dependant on the type of Sensor. The settings are programmed into the controller using two Control Buttons. Once set, if any limit is breached the horn sounds and a light illuminates on the facia indicating which channel is in alarm. The horn can be muted by pressing the Mute Button but the light/s would remain on until the alarm condition clears. The light re-set is automatic and the horn re-set is manual. Each channel is provided with an output signalling relay rated 230V 5 amp.
