AquaPIR Automatic Water Supply Shut-off

PIR Water Leak Detector

Automatic water supply shut-off

Designed to comply with BREEAM WAT04 automatic sanitary shut off requirements.  The Aqua-PIR uses a PIR sensor to detect the presence of people in a room, which when activated, switches a solenoid valve to open the water supply.

  • Designed to comply with BREEAM WAT04
  • Prevents loss of water through leaking cisterns and taps being left running
  • Valve sizes available in ½”, ¾”, 1”, 1¼”, 1½” other sizes available to order

The Aqua-PIR can prevent wastage of water and as a result can help prevent excessive consumption and damage caused by water leaks.  With the valves in a normally closed position, the water supply to a WC or washroom is switched off.  When the PIR detects that the room is occupied, the valve opens and water is allowed to flow normally.  On leaving the room, a pre-set length of time will elapse and the valve closes again.

The Aqua-PIR can also be connected into the lighting system to switch the lights on and off during room occupancy.
